I have loved wisdom and goodness,
Yearned for justice and truth,
I have gloried in your might
Found comfort in your presence,
You are the vision that gives me hope,
You are the lovers of my soul;
The kind nobility of wisdom,
The strengthening warmth of goodness,
The brave march of justice,
And the liberating triumph of truth;
You have forever been
The trust of a little child's thoughts,
The strength of a young girl's dreams,
And the hope of a woman's heart;
You have woven spells in the hearts of men,
Planted dreams and visions;
A guiding star for the hopes of man;
You taught men to dare,
For their love of justice,
Men have fought to death;
For the cause of truth,
Have spilled their blood;
Now their footprints guide the ways,
Of those who trust what wisdom says;
For men still love wisdom and goodness,
They fight for justice and truth;
And each brave, lonely battle,
Is the light that gives us hope.
