The power of the word, how bold, how true!
To pierce the hearts and minds of men,
Filled with rich, fine beauty and strength,
Like gems of fire are bold and eloquent words.
From a symphony of thoughts, a brimming heart,
The writer spins his inspired wonders,
But the speaker's mouth gives life to the word,
And the spirit that rouses and kindles a fire!
What cunning power they truly hold,
Called servants of man, to be used at will,
Yet often our masters, ruling minds and ways;
What are words in the grip of masterful eloquence!
What magical power, what wondrous spells they cast!
Stirring men to great and noble deeds,
Straining a heart to draw out morality and
The finest of thoughts and passions;
Giving form to reason and the thoughts of men,
Threading the logic of wise coherence;
Strength and comfort to still the broken,
Soothing balm to the hurt and wounded,
Words of hope and great assurance;
And in times of darkness, fear and trial,
Of ill will, injustice, battle of nations,
The honest words of a brave and noble heart,
Unite his fellow men and behold, they rise as one!
And the man whose soul has a vision engaged,
Wields as a sword, the words that shape his thoughts,
And from the faith that lights his starry dreams,his words
Breathe the fire of new dawn into the souls of men,
And born is a new destiny, the making of history!
